My name is Mark, and I have a camera. Well, a couple actually. But that is beside the point. What matters is that photography has been a part of my life for a long time. It started in a high school elective photography class, where I was handed an old Minolta film camera and given whatever the prompt of the week was. One Christmas I was gifted a Canon 500d, which became my best friend. I took it to college, where I found myself shooting events all over campus for the student radio’s social media pages, and then the student newspaper. I was shooting everything from sports, to plays and musicals, to student body senate meetings. No matter where I was on campus, my camera was with me.

But these days I find myself taking more and more photos of landscapes and my personal travels. The last few years I found myself getting more and more involved in the Colorado hiking scene, and that has been helped along by a few like minded friends. And although I have since collected different gear, I still have that old 500d.

Landscape, travel, and a little bit of wildlife sprinkled in; now that’s my jam.
